My drawer won’t slide in properly — help!

There’s a knack to it, but you’ll get it. Make sure the drawer isn’t overfilled and the handle is centred.  The handle should be over the shaped slot in the black base of your Clear Mini. It beeps when you put it in correctly!

Can the glass drawer go in the dishwasher?

Yes!The glass drawer, crisper rack and silicone accessories are all dishwasher-safe.

Can I use foil or baking paper?

Yes, but make sure there’s food on top to keep it from blowing around in the hot air flow.

Do I need to preheat my glass air fryer?

For best results, we recommend putting in food when the air fryer is hot. But don’t worry - it will be quicker than preheating  your normal oven. The Clear Mini glass air fryer takes around 3 minutes to preheat to 180°C!

Do I need to use oil to cook food in a glass air fryer?

Yes, in most cases, although you can use less oil to cook food in an air fryer. The oil helps the food to get golden and crispy.

Is it safe to put my air fryer on the worktop?

Yes, it’s safe. The Clear Mini has a heat-resistant base so it can be placed on your worktop. Make sure that it has space around it, for ventilation. We don’t advise putting it directly beneath a kitchen cupboard, as condensation can form.

If you’re converting a recipe written for conventional ovens, a good starting point is to reduce the listed oven temp by 25° and the time by about 20%.  If you’re not sure, start checking early in the cook time. It’s easy with a glass drawer!
